Excited to announce the first artists who will be producing editions for Gates of Vanitas, launching autumn / winter 2025 - Imran Perretta and Simon Parris.
Imran Perretta is a visual artist, filmmaker and composer from London. His sound and moving image work has been performed and shown at galleries and festivals internationally and is included in a number of public and private art collections including the Tate and the Arts Council England. Imran was named a Jarman Award nominee in 2019, won a Turner Prize Bursary in 2020 and was a recipient of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Artist Award in 2023. His debut, narrative feature film, Ish, commissioned by the BBC and the BFI, premiered at Venice Critic’s Week, winning the Audience Award. It is set for release later this year.

Simon Parris is a London-based music supervisor, creative consultant and sometime curator. He hosts an eponymous show on NTS Radio and recently put out his debut music release, heavy night waits on the dawn. For the last 11 years he has taken photos of the international DIY punk and hardcore scene and is working towards their eventual publication.
